FIRE PROCEDURES
All residents must familiarise themselves with the correct actions in case of fire.

In summary:
  • Know the nearest fire exit to your apartment.
  • In the event of a fire, DO NOT use the lift – use the fire stairs and exit.
  • Fire doors must remain closed and unimpeded at all times.
  • Take extreme care not to bump, damage or break off any sprinkler heads within the basement or any other common areas within the building.
  • There must be no storage of items within 500mm of the sprinkler heads or on top of storage cages within the basement
  • DO NOT use or store on any part of your Lot or the common property any flammable chemical, liquid, gas or other material unless with approval in writing of the Strata Manager. This does not apply to chemicals, liquids, gases or other material used or intended to be used for domestic purposes, or any chemical, liquid, gas or other material in a fuel tank of a motor vehicle or internal combustion engine.
  • Any damage should be reported to the Strata Manager.
  • Report any fire incident to the Strata Manager.
  • Ensure you are familiar with Emergency Management Plan(s) and evacuation procedures

The Strata Company is responsible for the repair, maintenance and annual fire certification of all building fire services, such as fire doors (including your apartment entry door), fire dampers (including those in your apartment), fire stairs, sprinklers, audible warning system, fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire hydrants, common area smoke alarms, manual call points, emergency lighting etc.
